Product Features - "Illusive Shadow" Silicon Sandpaper :
1. Sanding Surface
The sanding surface utilizes a new soft film base with a cloth-like texture, balancing flexibility, softness, durability, and trimming properties.
The durability of the sanding surface is well-suited for the working conditions of "Illusive Shadow PRO", reducing the frequency of sandpaper replacement.
2. Backing Adhesive
The adhesive backing is made of silicon material, which provides excellent thickness, hardness, support, and adhesion, less prone to leaving residue.
It simplifies the traditional three-layer structure (adhesive, foam, sandpaper) of sponge-backed sandpaper to a two-layer structure (silicon, sandpaper), making it more stable and less likely to detach.
3. Handling Feel
The combination of the soft film sanding surface and silicone provides a certain level of conformability, allowing the sanding surface to make fuller contact and achieve more thorough grinding.
It is not easy to produce longitudinal deformation during grinding, which leads to reduced grinding efficiency. The thin silicone itself has sufficient hardness and support, and can also have a very good effect when grinding flat surfaces. It fits the curved surface well and will not make the final grinding surface have an undesirable flat surface.
(Note: the grinding accuracy of silicon sandpaper is not as good as paper-based sandpaper.)
