Description
The July issue of White Dwarf is available, and this issue is all about the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. We begin, as ever, with a little excursion into the Bunker, which is celebrating its first birthday.
The gaming club is kicking off a Spearhead League, taking an in-depth look at the tricky terminology of painting, and presenting two new Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar scenarios alongside a Warcry campaign which lets players quest towards the four spires that mark the entrance to Talaxis.
The Warhammer Studio has been busy writing articles and chatting to the White Dwarf team about sending off the previous edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and ringing in the new one with a super-sized column all about the changes to the game. There’s also some Designer’s Notes focusing on the miniatures in Skaventide.
For those of you who have secured your Skaventide pre-order and are looking to amass painting tips to confidently tackle those 74 miniatures, there’s a special Paint Splatter with step-by-step guides for Clans Verminus and the Hallowed Knights.
Finally, you can read your first printed battle report for the new edition, as Matt and Ben from the Warhammer Studio pair up with Ben and Matt from the White Dwarf team (that’s right, you’re not seeing double) with the Bens commanding the Skaven, and the Matts controlling the Stormcast Eternals – it’s not as confusing as it sounds.
Over in the 41st Millennium, the Warhammer Studio are talking about the changes to matched play in the Pariah Nexus Chapter Approved Mission Pack. There is even a selection of Crusade campaign rules to use with the new mission pack.
